libjpeg-turbo8-dev software package provides Development files for the IJG JPEG library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjpeg-turbo8-dev
libjpeg-turbo8-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjpeg-turbo8-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjpeg-turbo8-dev *
You will get with libjpeg-turbo8-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
